FIBER COMPOSITION MEASURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining the ratio of component fibers from the amount of lignin and the amount of a sugar compound in paper material or paper handily and free of personal difference. SOLUTION: Kapper number of paper material or paper as object is measured, to be converted into content of mechanical pulp. Some subjected to acid hydrolysis of the same sample is analyzed by chromatography to determine the ratio of component sugar, and the ratio of component fiber is calculated from the results and the content of the mechanical pulp obtained previously.
