PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splittable optical fiber ribbon, which is reduced in space required for packing ribbon stacks into a cable or tube. SOLUTION: The splittable optical fiber ribbon product includes at least two sub-unit ribbons. The respective sub-unit ribbons have the plural optical fibers confined inside a matrix material. The sub-unit ribbons are disposed adjacent to each other, and both sub-unit ribbons are not completely confined by a tacky adhesive matrix material and are coupled to each other by the tacky adhesive matrix material.
