PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an objective lens driving device, capable of independently displacing an objective lens holding body in the focusing direction and the tracking direction by removing the influence of an interference mode which displaces simultaneously in both directions of the focusing direction and the tracking direction. SOLUTION: The objective lens drive device is composed of an objective lens 3, optical head 4, rising mirror 5, photodetector 6, adding and subtracting arithmetic circuit 7, focus error signal amplifier 8, tracking error signal amplifier 9, focus control circuit 10, tracking control circuit 11, interference mode compensating circuit 12, focusing direction driving coil 13, tracking direction driving coil 14, coarse positioning mechanism 15 and objective lens holding body 16. The movement of the device, while interfering with the both directions, is reduced by sending signals which offset rocking modes of the objective lens holding body 16 to respective coils with the interference mode compensating circuit 12.
