PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of displaying a high definition and high speed moving picture by decreasing a clock frequency, increasing a signal write time, and increasing an opening ratio. SOLUTION: The display device is composed of a display module 1 for adopting plural pixels as one block unit, selecting the plural pixels in one block at the same time, and displaying a picture by summing one or plural pieces of specific patterns 6 of different spatial frequencies, a display control device 2 for controlling the display module 1, an arithmetic operation circuit 3 for generating the specific patterns 6 of different spatial frequencies from a picture signal for each block with the patterns weighted, and a picture generating device 4 for generating a picture signal. Thus, the display device capable of displaying a super-high definition and high speed moving picture by decreasing a clock frequency, increasing a signal write time, and increasing an opening ratio, can be obtained.
