PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of causing a nuclear fusion reaction generating a high-density ion-electron plasma using a simple means and also provide an environmentally-friendly clean energy emitting no radioactive waste. SOLUTION: The high-density ion-electron plasma is generated at locally molten portions near the electrode interface of an ionic hydride, such as LiH, and the coulomb barrier between atomic nuclei is reduced by the high-density ion-electron plasma. A condensing force working between the atomic nuclei of the ionic hydride brings the atomic nuclei close together to keep them, at a reaction distance to induce a nuclear fusion reaction. Thermal energy generated by using a device inducting the nuclear fusion reaction as a core is taken out via refrigerant He, while fuel substances are separated from He, i.e., the product of the nuclear fusion reaction, and are returned to the core for reuse.
