<p>The invention is directed towards a method for preventing the loss of functionality of a fistula due to the formation of calcium phosphate and other precipitates within the fistula. The method comprises profiling the amount of calcium in the dialysis fluid or blood in relation to the amount of phosphorous in the blood plasma. This invention also comprises a system for profiling calcium during a dialysis procedure.</p> |
