The valve has a rotatable casing ring (8) that can be rotated from outside through an opening angle (alpha ) transverse to the flow direction. The casing ring is guided sideways at the bas of a casing pot (6) and inside a casing cover (7). A fixed washer (9) with a passage opening is arranged in the casing ring and is sealed against the casing cover. A control plate (10) on the other side of the washer can be rotated using the casing ring and has one or more openings (12) that can be closed. A fixed control plate (11) that fills the flow cross-section of the rotatable control plate has one or more openings that can be closed. The openings in the control plates correspond with each other so that when the movable control plate is rotated they are closed or opened. The fixed control plate is sealed against the casing pot.
