The present invention provides a call handling device for connecting a Bluetooth enabled communications device to a communications network. The cal l handling device includes at least two Bluetooth radios each of which is capable of maintaining a Bluetooth connection with the Bluetooth enabled communications device. A process is provided for controlling the Bluetooth connections and this is achieved such that if a first Bluetooth connections fails, or at least does not meet predetermined connection criteria, then a n ew second Bluetooth connection is established via a different radio. Accordingl y, if the radios are located at distributed positions, this allows a user to maintain a Bluetooth connection even when they move out of range of the radi o via which the connection is currently established.
