<p>The invention relates to an incinerating device for surgical scalpels. The main operation of said device is based on a combination of electronic circuit, electrical mechanism and electric components. Said elements raise the temperature of the scalpels to over 1,000 degrees centigrade during a maximum of 4 seconds, thereby causing them to deform or break into several pieces, the residues being sterilized. The invention can be used to incinerate scalpels of any length or shape provided that the scalpels are dismounted from the holders. The invention can be applied mainly in any medical institution where scalpels are used. Said device is easy to use, involves low operational and maintenance costs and is portable due to its small size.</p> |
