Apparatus for cleaning a reactor (1) in a chemical plant comprises a spray washing head (7) inserted into the reactor through a closable container opening (5). The head is coupled to a spray tubing (8). A tubing guiding device positioned on the container opening and remaining outside of the reactor slides on one free end of a tilting arm and rotates about a high axis. Preferred Features: A guiding cage (13) is arranged on the container opening and can vertically shift the tubing guiding device between an upper end position, in which a tilting arm (22) is located outside of the reactor, and a lower end position, in which the tilting arm is located in the reactor.
