<p>A method for the treatment or prophylaxis of cardiac insulin resistance or conditions associated with cardiac insulin resistance, in humans or non-human mammals, which method comprises the administration of an effective, non-toxic and pharmaceutically acceptable amount of PPARy agonist, such as Compound (I), or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative thereof. Conditions associated with cardiac insulin resistance are: microvascular angina, atherosclerosis and congestive heart failure. Compounds include rosiglitazone, troglitazone, englitazone and pioglitazone.</p> |
