METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR THE PREVENTION OF MYOPIA

Exogenous prostaglandins and derivatives of prostaglandins as well as anti-inflammatory agents blocking prostaglandin synthesis are disclosed as useful for the prevention of the development of myopia. The prostaglandins should preferentially be administered topically on the eye, whereas the anti-inflammatory agents may be administered topically on the eye or orally. The administration may be continuous or intermittent.
