<p>A roller producing method, unlike a troublesome method involving polishing a foam layer, which easily produces an eccentricity-free roller superior in surface smoothness. The method comprises the steps of inserting a foaming composition in a clearance between a mandrel centrally installed in a cylindrical mold and an electron beam irradiation tube set in the cylindrical mold and having an outer diameter somewhat smaller than the inner diameter of the mold, heating the foaming composition to cause the latter to foam, pressing the outer surface of the electron beam irradiation tube against the inner surface of the mold.</p> |
