M = transition metal; A = anion; n = 0-2; m, o = 0-3; R<1>-R<4>, R<7>, R<8> = H, 1-8C alkyl, 1-8C alkoxy, 1-8C acyl, 7-19C aralkyl, 4-19C heteroaralkyl or Q, or R<1>+R<2> and/or R<3>+R<4> or R<1>+R<3> or R<1>+R<7> and/or R<4>+R<8> is 2-8C alkylene; Q = 3-8C cycloalkyl, 6-18C aryl or 3-18C heteroaryl optionally substituted with 1-3 of 1-8C alkyl; R<5>, R<6> = R<1>, halogen, mono- or di(1-8C alkyl)amino, 1-8C alkylthio, tri(1-8C alkyl)silyl or 1-8C haloalkyl; R<9>, R<10> = H, 1-8C alkyl, 1-8C alkoxy, 7-19C aralkyl, 4-19C heteroaralkyl or Q. An Independent claim is also included for production of the catalysts by either:: (a) attaching (I) to a monomer, either directly of through a linker, and copolymerizing the monomer with other, unmodified monomers; (b) attaching (I) to a polymer, either directly of through a linker; or (c) block-copolymerizing the product of (a) or (b) with other (I)-containing or (I)-free polymers.
