STABILISED MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE SLURRIES

Compositions comprising an aqueous magnesium hydroxide slurry with solids loading of 25-75 wt%, an acidic polymer or water-soluble salt thereof and a co-additive (preferably boric acid or water soluble salts thereof) are prepared. Also claimed are methods for the preparation thereof. The polydispersity and molecular weight of the polymer are well-defined. The composition has a low viscosity and remains flowable after several days.
