<p>A vehicular radiator and charge-air-cooling package (119) made up of two air-cooled heat exchangers: a radiator (107) and a charge-air-cooler (108), the two heat exchangers (107, 108) being attached to one another and also being attachable to the chassis (102) or body of the vehicle (101). Each of the two heat exchangers (107, 108) is longer lengthwise than widthwise, each additionally having both a center cooling area (137, 138) and a cooling core through which each heat exchanger's respective coolant flows. Air passes across the cores when the vehicle (101) is moving, thus cooling the coolants. The heat exchangers (107, 108) are installed in the vehicle (101) such that their long sides do not coincide. With the center cooling areas (137, 138) of the heat exchangers (107, 108) overlapping each other, at least one end of each heat exchanger (107, 108) may be unfettered by air flow (152, 152, 153, 154, 155) passing through the other heat exchanger (107, 108).</p> |
