Process for conditioning monodisperse ion exchanger for catalysis of condensation, addition, ester exchange, esterification or alkylation comprises suspending wet in oxygen-free conductivity water, (dis)continuous washing with water until the conductivity is constant, draining, mixing with oxygen-free hydroxyl component with ion exchanger, drying in continuous circulating apparatus with distillation unit and transferring the suspension to a reactor. Independent claims are also included for (a) a conditioning process (2) giving an ion exchanger/phenol suspension; (b) the conditioned ion exchangers; (c) bisphenol produced using the ion exchanger.
