The present invention provides a biological control agent for the control of pest animals, and methods of use therefor. Generally, the present invention relies on exposing the pest animal to a pathogen(s) and an exogenous source of at least one type-2 cytokine and/or at least one type-2 polarising chemokine, wherein the combined action of these factors causes substantial mortality of the pest animals.
