The invention relates to a method and devices for enhancing the playback of audio or visual information according to which the audio or visual information is provided in stored form and is at least indirectly rendered in an audible or visible form. The aim of the invention is to adapt the playback to the natural perception and thus to improve the playback of information. To this end, the audible or visible form, before reaching the listener or viewer, is generated as pulse fronts or converted into the same which, perceived by the listener or viewer, diffuse in a convexly curved manner. Means for diffracting or refracting the light or the sound are provided in the devices, and the pulse fronts diffusing in a spherical manner are generated by said means.
