<p>A fuel cell power generation system which does not take up large space and which require a lower initial cost for a device than the prior art and a low running cost. This system comprises: a modifier (1) for producing a hydrogen rich gas by using a raw gas; raw gas feeding means (3a) for feeding the raw gas to the modifier (1); air feeding means (5) for feeding purging air to the modifier; and a fuel cell (9) for generating the electric power by using the hydrogen rich gas produced in the modifier (1) and the power generating air from the outside. When the run of the fuel cell (9) is interrupted, the feed of the raw gas to the modifier (1) is interrupted, and the fuel cell power generation system is cleared of the hydrogen rich gas, the steam and the purging air in the recited order.</p> |
