Polyurethane melt adhesive composition comprises a product of a polyisocyanate with a polyester block copolymer. Polyurethane melt adhesive composition (I) comprises: (A) a product of a polyisocyanate with a polyester block copolymer of formula (I); (B) optionally a product of a polyisocyanate with a polyesterpolyol; and/or (C) optionally a product of a polyisocyanate with a polyetherpolyol . R<1>, R<2> = -((CH2)4O(CH2)4)o, -(C3H6OC3H6)o-, -(C2H4OC2H4)p, a polybutadiene, a polycarbonate and/or a polycaprolactone residue; A = formula (II); X = O; R<3> = -(CH2)m-; alternatively, X and R<3> together = form a covalent bond; R<4> = residue of a carboxyl terminated polyester of a 4-12C diol and a 6-14C dicarboxylic acid following removal of the terminal carboxyl groups; m = 4-12; and o, p = 5-80.
