measurement technologies, geodetic measurement of elevation in erection and assembly work. SUBSTANCE: reading of rule are registered by axis of sight of geodetic level. Rule is set in sequence in area of monitored points. Start of rule scale is faired to start of reflection-free range finder. Optical path of range finder is brought to vertical position and range to monitored points is measured. Elevation between monitored pints is calculated by formula h = (bi-bi+1)-(ai-ai+1), where h is elevation between monitored points I, I+1; bi,bi+1 are ranges measured by reflection-free range finder; ai,ai+1 are readings by rule.
