A process for filling, freeze drying and sealing ready syringes, comprises placing the syringe cylinders in a magazine (1) on a belt (2), ready for filling, and then moving them to a delivery point (3) using a transport belt (4). The syringe components are pre-assembled and then the cylinder is placed back in the magazine and passed to a freeze dryer.
