The invention relates to an air-filtration system for purifying an air stream, in particular the induction air of an internal combustion engine. The air-filtration system comprises a system plate (10), a pre-filtration side (13), a filter housing (12) comprising a filter element (16) and a post-filtration side (19). The filter element (16) hermetically seals and separates the pre-filtration side (13) from the post-filtration side (19). The pre-filtration side (13) is configured by a first half-shell (11), which is connected to the system plate (10) in a fixed, hermetic manner. The filter housing (12) is likewise connected to the system plate in a fixed manner. The sealed, fixed connection of the system plate (10) to the first half-shell (11) allows the air-filtration system to be produced in a simpler, more rapid and more cost-effective manner, obviating the need for seals and connecting elements, in addition to their assembly.
