CASPASE 1 GENE TRANSFER ANIMAL

摘要

A transgenic non-human mammal having a DNA which carries a DNA having a foreign caspase 1 gene integrated thereinto in such a manner as being skin-specifically expressed or its offspring. Because of spontaneously suffering from atopic dermatitis in the absence of any specific pathogenic microorganism, the above transgenic non-human mammal is useful as a disease model animal. Use of the transgenic animal makes it possible to develop preventives and remedies for atopic dermatitis based on natural immunity and to clarify the onset mechanism of atopic diseases.
