The process consists of making on each hull half-shell (1,2) during their shaping, near to their contact edges, a first fold towards the internal face. This is followed by a second fold in a direction opposite to the concerned half-shell body. The external face of each half-shell thus having a shoulder near its edge. The lips defining the edges of the half-shells are put into contact, the abutted lips forming a hollow groove (6) opening onto the half-shell external faces. A fabric frame band impregnated with resin (8) is brought onto the two lips constituting the groove bottom. A long body is inserted in the groove to form a filling strip.
