<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly versatile hub bolt phase determining method and device which can achieve accurate determination of the phases of hub bolts using a single mechanism without being affected by the number of hub bolts placed upright. SOLUTION: A hub bolt 12a serving as a reference bolt is temporarily set at a reference position P by the pawl part 14a of a first moving mechanism 14. Next, the abutting piece 20 of a second moving mechanism 16 activates a pair of hub bolts 12b, 12c that are at equal distances from the reference bolt, thereby moving the hub bolts 12b, 12c onto a reference line X connecting two points located at equal distances from the reference position to correct the position of the reference bolt with respect to the reference position P. In this case, when three or more hub bolts are placed upright on a hub wheel, the pair of hub bolts located at equal distances from the reference bolt must be present, and since the abutting piece 20 can activate the hub bolts 12b, 12c while avoiding the hub bolts not required for phase determination, accurate phase determination can be made without being affected by the number and intervals of hub bolts placed upright.</p> |
