<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a fusion work without excavating the ground under a pipe, by holding a saddle and the pipe stationarily by a clamp having two legs extending from a pipe receiving part which is bent along the outer surface of the pipe, across a pipe shaft. SOLUTION: When a saddle holding device 10 is installed on the outer surface of a cast iron pipe, at first bolts 42 provided to legs 28 are loosened to retreat pressing means 46, and under such a condition, a clamp 24 is used to cover the outer surface of the cast iron pipe. After that, the bolts 24 are screwed in, and as a result, the inner surface of a pipe receiving part 26 is abutted to the outer surface of the cast iron pipe, as well as the pressing members 46 pushed out by the bolts 42 are abutted to the lower outer surface of the cast iron pipe, and thereby, the saddle holding device 10 is fixed on the outer surface of the cast iron pipe. And a second part 66 of a pressing part 52 is lowered by screwing a height regulating bolt 68, and the flange 84e of a pressing part 84 is abutted on the upper end surface of a saddle 16. And the inner surface of the saddle 16 is abutted to the outer surface of the pipe, by screwing in the height regulating bolt 68 further from the above condition.</p> |
