The invention relates to a turbine engine in which a fluid flows through a sequence of n steps between the inlet and the outlet, said steps consisting each of a stationary bladed guide device, a nozzle, a rotor and a diffuser. The nozzle and the diffuser are defined by parallel-walled rotation cavities whose main axis is coaxial to the rotor axis, and the current is alternately accelerated by the nozzle when flowing from the outside to the inside and slowed down by the diffuser when flowing from the inside to the outside. The guide device increases the swirl and the speed of the current n times and the rotor reduces the swirl and the speed of the current n times, thereby creating a common torque on the rotor across all steps, and said torque can be tapped via the rotor shaft for driving a prime mover. |
