Method and apparatus for making up a specific quantity of mass for a desired composition with re-use of residual masses. The method comprises the steps of determining whether at least one residual mass can be selected from a plurality of residual masses and adding base components in order to obtain the specific quantity of mass of a desired composition. The method comprises the further steps of storing the plurality of residual masses, including associated containers, in a warehouse (13) and, if one residual mass can be selected, selecting the associated container in the warehouse (13) for use as container for the mass to be made up. The method is used in an apparatus (10) comprising the warehouse (13) for storing containers containing residual mass, a transport device (14) for transporting containers into the apparatus (10) and a metering device (16) for adding base components. |
