The invention relates to a method and assembly for reduction of emissions of nitrogen oxides generated in fluidized-bed combustion in a combustion chamber (11). In the method, primary air (1) is injected upward from the bottom (12) of the combustion chamber (11) for fluidizing the bed material, fuel is fed into the fluidized bed (2), the fuel is gasified and the ungasified fuel is burnt in the fluidized bed (2) with the help of primary air (1) injected into the bed (2), and secondary air (3, 9, 10) is injected into the combustion chamber (11) at a distance above the fulidized bed (2). Into the combustion chamber (11) is created by means of tangentially directed injection of the secondary air (3, 9, 10) at least one swirl (4) which is formed by the flow of flue gases, supports in its central region an oxygen-lean zone rich with hydrocarbon radicals and is surrounded by an oxygen-rich zone at its periphery. |
