<p>The invention relates to a new agropolymer comprising hydrocarbon matrix with removed proteins, tannins and polyphenols which has metal binding reactive sites, a method of producing of said new agropolymers from plant material such as seed hulls, husks or hulls of various agricultural crops (Oryza sativa, Panicum miliaceum. Setaria italica, Cajanus cajan, Vigna mungo, Vigna radiata, Triticum sp., Ricinus communis, Helianthus annus, Gossypium sp., Arachis sp.), and a method of removal of metal and ion from polluted/contaminated aqueous solutions including metal or ion polluted drinking water orground water using said agropolymer.</p> |
