Also in Group XXXVI] A super-conductive circuit element comprises a super-conductive film, a drive conductor and a sensing conductor the geometry of the device being such that a pulse in the drive conductor produces an amplified pulse in the sensing conductor. Alternatively a pulse in the drive conductor regeneratively heats up the film and the heating of the film drives sensing conductor from its super-conducting to its resistive state. Fig. 8 shows a pair of the devices 6 and 6<SP>1</SP> used to trigger a cryotron flip-flop, a pulse applied to a drive conductor (not shown) heating up the film, e.g. 6, which drives 12 to a resistive state and therefore switching current from 12 and 11<SP>1</SP> to 12<SP>1</SP> and 11 a pulse applied to the other of the two devices heating up 6<SP>1</SP>, switching conduction back again to 12 and 11<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 9, shows a similar arrangement for switching between one of two super-conductor circuits energization of e.g. 6, preventing conduction through 20 and switching all current, entering at 18, through 21. When the path including element 20 cools and becomes superconducting again it is said no current will flow through it since there is no mechanism to cause any of the current flowing in 21 to divert to 20.
