PURPOSE: A method for searching a Chinese character is provided to find easily Chinese characters in a Chinese dictionary and input the Chinese characters to a computer or other electronic devices by using a new Chinese character search method. CONSTITUTION: Chinese character patterns are formed to compose Chinese characters. The Chinese character patterns are used as an alphabetical table. The Chinese character patterns are composed of 24 patterns. The Chinese characters are searched by using the 24 Chinese character patterns. The Chinese characters are searched by predetermined rules such as left to right or up to down or outside to inside.
