PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with the small occupying volume which is inexpensive and have reliability. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device which has a liquid crystal display element having a cell composed of a lower transparent substrate and an upper transparent substrate for housing liquid crystal and having an electrode pattern at least on one surface of the lower transparent substrate and the upper transparent substrate, and has a flexible connecting member to connect the liquid crystal display element and a control circuit to control the liquid crystal display element, at least two ends are formed in the flexible connecting member, the flexible connecting member is disposed so as to face to the underface of the lower transparent substrate, the one end between the at least two ends of the flexible connecting member is connected to the electrode pattern of the lower transparent substrate toward the outer edge of the liquid crystal display element, and the others end between the at least two ends are connected to the electrode pattern of the upper transparent substrate toward the outer edge of the liquid crystal display element.
