PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the oxidizing and removing time for fine particles by preventing fine particles flowing in a particulate filter from mostly being collected on one surface of a partition wall, exerting the oxidizing and removing action on the fine particles on the downstream of exhaust emission flow from the partition wall so that the oxidizing and removing action of oxidizing and removing the fine particles collected on the partition wall by active oxygen is sufficiently transmitted to all of the fine particles, reducing the possibility that the fine particles are separated from the particulate filter in the reverse of exhaust emission flow, and collecting the fine particles by another particulate filter if they are separated. SOLUTION: An oxidizer for emitting active oxygen for oxidizing fine particles is supported on the partition walls 54 of the particulate filters 22, 122, the flow of exhaust emission is reversed to disperse the fine particles collected on the partition walls 54 of the particulate filters to one side and the other side of the partition walls of the particulate filters.
