SOUND FIELD CORRECTION METHOD AND AUDIO UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound field correction method by which the sound is corrected with a simple configuration even when the number of listening positions is increased when the acoustic characteristic at the prescribed listening positions in a closed space is corrected identical to that of an original sound. SOLUTION: First measuring a sound pressure outputted from a loudspeaker and a response sound pressure with respect to the sound pressure of the loudspeaker measured at prescribed listening positions in a space obtains a transfer function matrix of this space and then a correction filter to realize acoustic correction is calculated from the transfer function matrix, and using the correction filter corrects the acoustic signal outputted to the loudspeaker to provide the corrected signal to the loudspeaker so that the acoustic characteristic at the prescribed listening positions in the space is corrected identical to that of the original sound itself. Thus, the acoustic characteristic at the prescribed listening positions in the closed space is corrected identical to that of the original sound itself without increasing the number of loudspeakers with a simple configuration.
