<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a toner from sticking to the surface of a fixing roller to thereby stably inhibit offsets for a long time and thus provide a fixing apparatus of which the fixing roller has an improved durability. SOLUTION: A film, as the surface layer 103 of a fixing member, having a specified number of minute projections is formed on the member by using a fluororubber composition mainly comprising a fluororubber having a fluorine content of 60 wt.%-70 wt.%, by specifying the amounts of a reinforcement, an antacid, a vulcanizing agent, a spherical filler, etc., compounded into the composition, and by specifying the average particle diameter of compounded particles in the composition to 5μm or lower. By using such a fixing apparatus for fixing a toner T transferred onto a recording material P, the fixed toner T is prevented from sticking to the surface layer 103, enabling the prevention of offset.</p> |
