PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone which can be reduced in weight and size. SOLUTION: A portable telephone is equipped with an antenna which can be housed in or drawn out from a main body case, where the main body case is provided with a through-hole through which the antenna is made to slide in and out, and the antenna sliding in and out through the through-hole is equipped with a detachable stopper at its root.
