PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To readily obtain a cleaning means having high cleaning ability, without the remains of contamination of an imagery means by allowing a cleaning member to abut on the imagery means under necessary and sufficient abutting pressure. SOLUTION: The cleaning means has a support member 54, which is movable in the cleaning direction of the imagery means and the cleaning member 549 supported like a cantilever at this support member and comes into contact with the surface to be cleaned of the imaging means 152. The support member has a first support part 54A which exists on one side of the imagery means and a second support part 54B, which is lies between the imagery means and a photoreceptor 13. The second support part has a first beam part 541, which is elastically deformable and expands in the direction passing the imaging means from the first supporting part and a second beam parts 542, which is extend toward the first support part from the first beam part, and the second beam part is provided with the cleaning member 549.
