PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera device that can control a recorded image to have a proper S/N even when a luminous quantity obtained from an object is small and to provide a control method for the digital camera device. SOLUTION: The digital camera device that controls a signal quantity based on the luminance signal extracted from an image signal, extracts a low frequency component from the image signal obtained at a point of time when a prescribed operation is conducted, samples the digital image signal from which the low frequency component is extracted and extracts the sampled signals so as to reduce the digital image signal and controls 1st and 2nd extract means on the basis of the control of the signal quantity. |
