PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the deterioration of an error rate by deciding an automatically equalizing quantity always optimal to both of a training pattern and user data in an information reproducing device. SOLUTION: A selector 104 selects the second equalization error signal EE2 from an automatic waveform equalizer 102 in a period while a training pattern is reproduced and selects the third equalization error signal EE3 from a maximum likelihood detector 103 in a period while user data is reproduced based on the first control signal CSI. Then, the selector 104 outputs it as the first equalization error signal EE1 to an automatic waveform equalizer to perform automatic waveform equalizing processing.
