WIRE OR ROD STEEL SUPPRESSED ARISING OF DEFORMATION RESISTANCE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE AND IN AREA OF WORKING HEAT GENERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire or rod steel excellent in cold processability as a hot rolling state even if anneal treating for granulation is eliminated. SOLUTION: The wire or rod steel is characterized in that a nitride and a carbide of average 25 pieces or more/25μm2 are present in mixtured or complexed state, in a ferrite structure in the range of center to diameter/8 of a rolling material. By precipitating these nitride and carbide, deformation resistance in the area of arising temperature generated by working heat generation in cold working, can be diminished.
