PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous attachment of a process cartridge by a simple structure, in an image forming device of a tandem type. SOLUTION: Pieces of station information (n), which respectively concern first to fourth image forming stations Pa to Pd attached to the corresponding process cartridges 100a to 100d, are stored in corresponding NVRAM101a to 101d. On the other hand, pieces of station information N, which respectively concern the first to fourth image forming stations Pa to Pd are stored in a storage medium 50 of an image forming device main body 30. When each of the process cartridges 100a to 100d is attached, the each station information (n) is collated with the each station information N on the main body 30 side to detect erroneous attachment.
