PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling storage facility for radioactive waste, capable of avoiding trouble due to thermal expansion of the radiation shield plate mem ber of a labyrinth plate radiation shield structure placed in an exhaust path. SOLUTION: A labyrinth plate radiation shielding structure 52, placed in the exhaust path 51, is constituted by arranging iron shield plates 52A staggeredly. Between an upper surface 52a of an iron shield plate 52A and a ceiling surface 51B of the exhaust path 51, an expansion tolerance 52C is set. On the floor 51A of the exhaust path 51 and the ceiling 51B, support surrounding walls 52D are erected in the constitution, so as to surround the iron shielding plate 52A.
