PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking structure for such a revolving body as assist grip bearing load in the radial direction, capable of properly braking it, and of excellent durability. SOLUTION: In an assist grip 10, an oil damper 16 braking the revolution of a retaining shaft 52 assembly is independetly installed on a retaining shaft 52 to be free from the radial force from both retainer 14 and grip body 12, and prevents reverse rvolution by jointing a projection 72 to a thin groove 90 of the grip body 12 to transmit the radial force of revolution of a revolving body only to the damper 16.
