PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing device which displays a menu screen capable of visually informing a user of the contents of an information recording medium. SOLUTION: This information recording device has a reading means (2) which reads the information recorded on the information recording medium and a forming means (6b) which generates the information relating to jacket pictures from the information recording medium by this reading means and forms the menu screen in accordance with the information relating to the read jacket pictures.
