PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photosensitive material, capable of giving a high sensitivity and high density image which is superior in dot quality and having rapid and stable performance, even if the amount of a development replenisher is reduced. SOLUTION: In the silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least two hydrophilic colloidal layers on the base, a hydrazine derivative is not substantially contained, a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, having silver to gelatin ratio larger than 1 is included, and at least one compound selected from compounds of formulae (1), etc., is contained in the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and/or the hydrophilic colloidal layer.
