<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for IP multicast communication between an IPv4 terminal and an IPv6 terminal. SOLUTION: This device has an IP transmitting/receiving means for transmitting/receiving an IPv4 packet and an IPv6 packet, a conversion IP address holding means for holding an IPv4 address and an IPv6 address to be used for IP packet conversion, IP address conversion information holding means for correspondently holding the IPv4 address and the IPv6 address, IP multicast subscription group managing means for managing the subscriptions of an IPv4 multicast group and an IPv6 multicast group, and IP packet converting means for converting the IP header of the IPv4 multicast packet and the IPv6 multicast packet.</p> |
