PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure an effective electric power source instead of a primary battery and to reduce industrial waste. SOLUTION: In the automatic reporting system constituted of both a gas meter 17 with a meter display part 1, gas flowmeter 2, microcomputer circuit board 3, etc., and an automatic reporting device 18 with a microcomputer circuit board 14 connected to the gas meter 17 by wiring, the gas meter 17 is provided with a fuel cell 10 to utilize gas passing through the gas meter 17 as an energy source. A gas flowmeter 2 to detect the quantity of flow of gas is operated by electric energy obtained from the fuel cell 10, and the gas meter 17 is provided and combined with a power terminal 20 to drive the automatic reporting device 18 with the function of transmitting the output data of the gas meter 17 to a gas company center over a telephone line. The power terminal 20 is provided with a power terminal 19 to supply power for the automatic reporting device 18 via wiring 12. |
